Cambodia2014 Remember the fox bats I mentioned yesterday? (Well, ok, I called them dog bats but that was for effect). Here they are in the tree around the corner from the hotel. Each has a wingspan of about 5-6 feet and the screeching is…unsettling…particularly as they systematically unfurl from their protective cocoon, swoop around the tree and ground a few times, and settle on a new area (likely the same branch as they have a society in their tree) and renter the protective cover of their wings.
